Hello

I’m Soph, the person behind Get Garcia’d.

I’m a wedding content creator for couples who care deeply about how their day feels, not just how it looks. My work is rooted in presence, intuition and emotional awareness noticing the moments that unfold quietly, naturally and without direction.

Before building Get Garcia’d, I worked as a midwife. It’s where I learned how to read a room, build trust quickly, and stay calm in emotionally charged moments. Those skills now shape how I show up on wedding days knowing when to offer reassurance, when to gently encourage, and when to step back and let moments breathe.

I work alongside your photographer and videographer, never replacing them, but supporting the story they’re telling. While they focus on the big moments, I capture the in-between, proud glances, nervous laughter, soft touches and reactions you didn’t even realise were happening.

My presence on your day is adaptable. Some moments call for quiet hype and steady reassurance, others for complete invisibility. I mirror the energy in the room so you can stay grounded, present and completely yourselves.

Why I do this.

I’ve always been someone who chooses presence.

Believe it or not, I am rarely on my phone. I’m usually the one fully in the moment, trusting that someone else will hold the memories or if not feeling grateful they are fully in my mind. And I wouldn’t change that because being present has always mattered more to me than capturing everything myself. But we live in a digital world where presence is often misunderstood or sacrificed. Moments pass while phones are raised, and memories become something we perform rather than experience.

Get Garcia’d exists because I believe couples shouldn’t have to choose.

You deserve to feel your wedding day fully, to be immersed in it, connected to it, and grounded in the moment, while knowing the memories are being held for you with care. My role is to quietly carry that responsibility. To notice what you can’t when you’re busy living it. To capture the emotional truth of your day so you can come back to it later, without having missed it in the moment.

Presence is the gift.

The memories are the proof.

A Little More About Me

Outside of weddings, I got married myself in 2024, as cliché as it may sound it was the BEST day of my life so far, and although we are coming up to our two year anniversary, I remember being a bride so well. I have two sausage dogs who rule my life more than I care to admit, and although they drive me mad I really couldn't be without them. I love yummy home cooked food, a very crispy Diet Coke, and have somehow become a full-on coffee nut. It's probably because I have just turned 30. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me at reformer pilates, planning our next meal, sending 10 minute voice notes to my friends or walking the dogs with a podcast on.

I bring all of that humanness with me, warmth, curiosity, calm into the way I work with my couples. Because I am here to make you feel comfortable and ensure you have the best time ever on your wedding day, just like I did.

If you’re planning an intimate, intentional wedding and want someone who understands people as much as storytelling, I’d love to be part of your day.
